Turner Peachey Chartered Accountants expand services
Two of Shropshire’s most highly regarded professional services companies have joined forces in a collaboration designed to provide the widest range of accountancy and wealth management services for private individuals and business people across the county.
Still retaining its own brand identity, Crown Wealth Management has become the independent financial services arm of Turner Peachey Chartered Accountants. Based at prestigious new offices at Column House, London Road, acquired and renovated by Turner Peachey last year, Crown Wealth Management’s services will also be available to the firm’s other offices in Welshpool, Oswestry, Shifnal and Bridgnorth.
Over the past few years Turner Peachey has grown steadily, taking on board several smaller practices around the county through merger. Today the firm employs 75 staff and has seven partners. Speaking about the addition of Crown Wealth Management to its stable, partner Elwyn Turner said:
“Our clients range from the retired person who wants the comfort zone of having their tax return/refund dealt with, to the corporate client with a turnover of tens of millions. As a firm of general practitioners we have always offered a wide range of in-house expertise in respect of Accountancy, Audit and Taxation, but we have also worked closely with external consultants and key specialist advisors where their additional expertise would benefit clients. Through Crown Wealth Management we are now able to offer independent financial advice.”
Crown Wealth Management is headed by Brian Benson. Formerly a Director of Canada Life International, Brian is one of only 800 or so Certified Financial Planners in the country.
“Financial Planning is very different from Financial Advice,” he explains. “The internationally recognised qualification is gained through advanced examination, agreeing to act within a strict code of ethics and being able to demonstrate that you can put the theory into practice for the benefit of real clients. Fully regulated by the Financial Services Authority, services offered by Financial Planners are generally fee based which means any advice given in respect of financial products really is impartial. Wealth Management is a relatively new aspect of financial planning, whereby a diverse range of financial long term strategies and solutions are provided for high net worth clients, their families and employees.”
