Partner supports client
Dawn Owen, partner of Turner Peachey supported The New Saints FC Football Club (a client) by flying to Ireland and catching the Eurostar to Brussels!
Following a successful 2009/10 league campaign which resulted in them being Welsh Premier League Champions, the club drew Bohemian FC (Ireland, Dublin) in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with the first leg being away on 13th July. Dawn has a good personal relationship with the client who asked if she would to go along, Dawn was delighted to accept the invitation. Unfortunately the club lost 0 - 1.
The second leg was held at the New Saints home ground on 20th July where they played a very good game and won 4 – 0!
Following on from this they drew RSC Anderlecht (Brussels, Belgium) in the third qualifying round, the home result on 27th July was 1 – 3.
Once again Dawn travelled to the away game at RSC Anderlecht on 13th August, but, this time it was not meant to be; the New Saints lost 3 – 0.
Dawn commented “I was very pleased to be asked and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Turner Peachey offers a personal, professional relationship with our clients and we like to offer support wherever possible”.
Helen Harris, Financial Director of the Club commented “it is great to have such a good relationship with our accountants, Dawn and I get on well both professionally and personally. Turner Peachey are always helpful, nothing is too much trouble and we were thrilled when Dawn came along to support us”.
