A General Practitioner with a diverse client portfolio, Elwyn specialises in advising owner managed businesses in all aspects of accountancy, taxation and strategic matters. With a particular interest in the construction and IT industries he also oversees Turner Peachey’s own IT.
Elwyn chose to become a Chartered Accountant after taking a summer vacation job with Turner Peachey in 1992. He studied on day release and completed an ICAEW training contract with the firm, qualifying in 1998 and later joining the corporate tax team at Arthur Anderson before returning to Turner Peachey and becoming a partner in 2003.
Born in Welshpool, Elwyn still lives in the area and has a keen interest in most sports. Before injury forced his retirement he played football for Guilsfield, Newtown, Rhayader and Llansantffraid (TNS) as well as cricket, badminton and tennis. A long time supporter of Liverpool FC he is a regular spectator at Mid Wales matches, particularly Guilsfield, Welshpool and TNS, and can be found helping out on Sunday afternoons with the Welshpool Ladies FC for whom his wife plays. Elwyn now keeps fit through swimming, an occasional round of golf and skiing both on land and water. Other interests include photography, travel, fine wine and dining and West End musicals.
